Dr. Cindy Kimbrell is a lifelong horsewoman and a graduate of the North Carolina State University Veterinary School. She has practiced equine veterinary medicine in North Carolina for more than 30 years and is dedicated to providing her clients with comprehensive and compassionate care for their equine partners. A great problem solver, Cindy enjoys the challenges of horse care and backs that up with the technical skills and experience necessary to diagnose and treat her patients. Cindy feels strongly about preventative wellness programs and works carefully with each client to create the best individual plan for each horse’s well-being. She has extensive experience with breeding and reproduction, lameness exams, equine dentistry, sports medicine and routine surgeries.
As an equestrian, Cindy has a broad range of riding and teaching experience. This includes competing in dressage, eventing, and hunters, driving Standardbred harness horses, exercising Thoroughbred race horses, fox hunting, and miles of trail riding. She was an avid Pony Clubber, and has bred, raised, and trained her own horses. Cindy has also judged shows, taught lessons, and mucked more stalls than she can count, and loves to say that horses are her career, her hobby, and her art.
